The Appalachian Hardwood Center (AHC) plays a significant role in fostering sustainable natural resource-based economic and community development by promoting and encouraging communication and partnerships among appropriate stakeholders, by conducting basic and applied research, and by providing unbiased and scientifically-based technical knowledge, information, and educational programs.
